About the Artist

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Reid Womack has been creating art across various mediums from a very young age. Being trained in classical cello from the age of four has fostered in him an individualistic awareness and artistic sensitivity, and the simultaneous discovery of self-expression through visual arts has been his primary method of engaging with the world around him ever since. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources including science fiction, biological sciences, the Surrealist movement, and the modern fantastical works of Nychos, Andrew Hem, and Lauren YS, Reid attempts to articulate the mysterious, razor-thin point where reality and fantasy converge, the elusive realm of both the existing and non-existent. He hopes to communicate an entirely new perspective through his works, ideally invoking not only emotion but intellectual discourse.
