Here’s to 7 years with MORI! In celebration of MORI's 7th Anniversary, we have asked 19 of our wonderfully talented vendors if they could illustrate their 'tree' in the MORI forest.
MORI, which means 'forest' in Japanese, is a play on the phrase 'moriageru', meaning 'to raise or nurture'. True to its namesake, MORI by Art+Flea is a forest of many talented trees, serving as a nursing ground for up-and-coming creatives to lay their roots and grow into their potential. What began as a monthly market gradually evolved into a cultural movement for creatives, providing a platform for their art. Founded by Aly Ishikuni-Sasaki as a gathering place for vendors, artists, and creators to learn, commune, and support each other, MORI provides shelter and community to those wanting to develop and share their craft.
