About the Illustrator 

Kat Ono, born and raised on the island of Maui, has always been passionate about the arts. In her earliest memories, she has always doodled away on crayons and was in love all forms of illustration. Joining her passions with modern arts and textile designs, Kat Ono continues to illustrate and design on the island of Oahu, where she currently resides. 

About the Artist

Siblings Catherine and John Payne always carried a passion for writing. Catherine is an English teacher and John is a speech and clinician on Guam, their father’s birthplace. With such inspiration, they encourage literacy by putting books in little hands.
