Art + Flea was established in July 2010 at Fresh Cafe. What began as a market held once every month has gradually evolved in to a cultural movement for makers of all mediums, providing a platform for them to share their passions and craft with a bigger community. Fun and quirky themes for each market kept people coming back to support a wide array of local small businesses and artists. Co-founder of Art + Flea, Aly Ishikuni, later considered the idea of bringing these talented makers to a retail stage. In November 2014, she made it happen and opened the doors to Mori by Art + Flea at Ward Warehouse. With a rotating roster of unique small businesses and artists, shoppers can expect nothing shy of high quality products and thoughtfully designed goods. Now, people have the freedom to shop local any day of the week or online at morihawaii.com and at MORI by Art+Flea's new location in South Shore Market.
Our purpose is to showcase a compelling environment that embraces the spirit of Oahu’s creative local businesses with the intention of fusing community with creativity. At Mori, not only can customers find unique and eclectic goods, but we also provide opportunities for them to witness and experience what Hawaii's small business scene is about through various in-store workshops and pop-up events.
We are here to put our best foot forward in contributing to the growth of local small businesses. As the gathering place for Oahu's creatives, we genuinely seek to bring people together, have them connect, share their passions, and inspire one another. As we continue to make progress in Hawaii's community, it is our hope to reach even further. To make an impact on not only the people who live here but also on those who are oceans away. Stay connected with us as we take bigger strides towards greater milestones to make a difference in the world and pave the way for creative minds with a passion for what they do.
