MORI by Art+Flea is a curated select shop that highlights over 200 up-and-coming artists, creators, brands, and designer labels in Hawaii. 



Our Story
Art+Flea was established in July 2010 at a locally owned cafe in Kaka’ako. What began as a monthly market has gradually evolved into a cultural movement for makers of all mediums, providing a platform for them to share their passions and craft with the larger community. Through fun and quirky monthly themes, Art+Flea is a crowd favorite that keeps people coming back to support a wide array of local small businesses and artists. In November 2014, co-founder of Art+Flea, Aly Ishikuni-Sasaki, opened the doors to her first brick-and-mortar shop, MORI by Art+Flea, bringing Art+Flea’s talented vendors to a retail stage. With a rotating roster of unique small businesses and artists, shoppers can expect high quality products and thoughtfully designed goods.Currently based in Ward South Shore Market, MORI allows people the freedom to shop local in person or online at morihawaii.com any day of the week.

 

Our Mission

Our purpose is to showcase a compelling environment that embraces the spirit of Oahu’s creative local businesses with the intention of fusing community with creativity. At MORI, not only can customers find unique and eclectic goods, but also experience what Hawaii's small business scene is about through various in-store workshops and pop-up events.

As the gathering place for Oahu's creatives, MORI genuinely seeks to connect people together through their passion for art and culture. As we continue to grow with Hawaii's community, it is our hope to bring our platform and Hawaii creators to an even greater stage. We hope to make an impact on not only the people who live in the islands, but also on those who are oceans away.

２０１０年７月、アート＋フリーはカカアコ　フレッシュカフェに設立されました。当初、毎月1度の開催で地元のアーティストやクラフターの作品を提供する共有の場としてスタート。現在は彼らの熱い情熱とその芸術品等が人々の人気を呼び徐徐に大きなコミュニティに発展。ユニークでローカル！毎回風変わりな テーマと楽しさで開催され、たくさんのリピーターが訪れる。地元中小企業の発展と繁栄にもつながっている。
 
アート＋フリーの創設者、アリーイシクニは後にアーティスト達の商品等を小売り段階で出店するというアイディアを考案。２０１４年１１月、彼女はそのアイディアを可能にしました。モリバイアート＋フリーSHOPを地元ワードウェアハウスにオープン。アーティスト達がひとつひとつ心をこめて創りあげたユニークでローカル、高品質な商品等が交替制で入れ替わり、常に新しいアイディアと技術を提供しています。そして今オンラインSHOP、morihawaii.comをオープン、いつでもどこからでも自由にお買い物ができます。SHOPモリバイアート＋フリーは月曜日から土曜日、午前１０時から午後９時まで、日曜日は午前１０時から午後６時までオープンしています。
 
私たちの目的は創造性とコミュニティを融合することを意図として、オアフ島中小企業のクリエイティブ、かつ魅力的な環境と精神を人々に紹介することです。
SHOPモリで顧客は他では決して手にはいらないオリジナルな商品等を見つけるが、又同様にハワイのビジネスシーンを店舗内のワークショップやポップアップイベントを通じて体験する機会をもつことができます。
 
私たちはオアフ島地元の中小企業の発展に貢献、最善を尽くし創造性とコミュニティを融合する場を設けることで共に互いの情熱を共有し成長していくことを目標としています。
