• The pinapinao celebrates Hawaiʻi's endemic damselflies. Found mauka to makai, pinapinao utilize a diversity of habitats and aquatic resources. Though there are over 25 species of pinapinao, many are endangered due to habitat loss and predation by invasive freshwater fish. The genus Megalagrion is unique to Hawaiʻi.
